You Train Your Brain

Is there a belief, behavior, or habit in your life you’d like to update?

That way of being may have served you well in the past — but it may not be relevant to you as the adult you are today.

You have stored every experience you’ve ever had in your subconscious, and over time, you’ve trained your brain how to use that knowledge — your inner wisdom.

Here’s an example of what that actually looks like:

Four people walk into a forest.

One is an ornithologist. One is a botanist. One is a biologist. And one is a small child.

Each of them sees something completely di

fferent.

The ornithologist tilts their head at a sound in the upper canopy. The botanist crouches to look at something growing low along the trail. The biologist notices the decomposition happening at the base of a fallen trunk.

And the child sees a bug.

Same forest. Four entirely different realities.

This isn’t a problem to solve — it’s simply how human beings work. What we see, what we’re even capable of seeing, is shaped by what we’ve already learned to look for. The ornithologist isn’t ignoring the plants. He simply doesn’t see them. His history has organized the forest around birds.

Every one of us is carrying a forest. The real question isn’t what’s in yours — it’s what have you trained your subconscious to see?

If you want to update that perspective, you can. That’s the work of connecting with your own inner wisdom — using your own strengths and knowledge to change how you think and act, starting from where you are right now.
